The Friday Club

20231103_112605

The Friday Club is a weekly social gathering and friendship group for older people that includes morning tea, 30 mins or so of optional physical strength and balance exercise (maybe tai chi, chair yoga, movement, falls prevention), plus a guest speaker, entertainment or music, followed up with a freshly cooked 2-course lunch. There is ample time to socialise and meet new friends.

Some participants come for all activities while others attend just the morning tea or lunch. Morning Tea is served at 10am and lunch at 12pm.

You don’t have to be a member to attend – everyone is welcome. You don’t have to book.

The Friday Club is run by volunteers who do all the cooking, serving, cleaning and sometimes even the entertaining.
